Introducing our new brand and website

We’re excited to introduce our dynamic new brand. More than a logo, it’s going to make a powerful impact for deaf children with any level of hearing loss. We’re here to make sure nothing holds deaf children back.

Why we’ve evolved our brand

Every moment counts in supporting deaf children. Our bold visual identity and tone of voice will help us reach families as early as possible and give them support from the start.

During research, we found that many parents of children with mild, moderate or one-sided deafness did not think we could support them. Our new messaging will show that we’re here for every deaf child, with any level of hearing loss.

Families at the heart

The views of parents and carers of deaf children have been fundamental in shaping our new brand and website. We chose our new logo and messaging based on their feedback and lived experience.

We also involved audiologists, Teachers of the Deaf, supporters, volunteers, local group members and staff through surveys, focus groups and one-to-one interviews.

My daughter is profoundly deaf in one ear and in those early days following identification I found the National Deaf Children’s Society and its support was like a safety net. But the new branding reflects so much more than this. It feels uplifting and reassuring and fills me with optimism for the future. What’s changed

Our new logo is a visual way of showing the huge aspirations that families have for their children. It demonstrates that with the right support from professionals, families and communities, deaf children can reach for the stars.

We’ve introduced new elements to our brand, including shapes, patterns, icons and characters, that will appeal to children as well as adults.

We have a passionate new tone of voice that we’ll use to talk loudly and proudly about deaf children’s potential.

We have also launched this new website that we’ve developed in response to user feedback. This accessible new site will enable families to find the information they need more quickly and easily.

And finally, we’re launching a forward-thinking new vision and ambition that reflects the aspirations of the families who shaped our brand.
