Referral form for professionals

Refer a family or deaf young person you work with to the National Deaf Children's Society.

How we'll make contact 

Fill out the form, and we will contact them within 3 working days. If we don't reach them, we will try 2 more times over 2 weeks. We will keep you updated on the referral's progress.

In the form, let us know how the family or young person prefers to be contacted:

  • phone
  • text (SMS)
  • email
  • British Sign Language (BSL) video call
  • interpreters for non-English speakers 

What we can help with

Topics related to childhood deafness, including:

  • diagnosis and working with health professionals
  • education (from early years to higher education)
  • financial support and disability benefits
  • communication options
  • technology
  • disability discrimination
  • finding local support

What we can't help with

  • deaf adults over 25
  • hearing children with deaf parents
  • housing or immigration issues
  • deaf children and young people outside the UK
  • Auditory Processing Disorder (APD)
