Help for parents of deaf children and young people

You can get in touch with our Helpline. We give free independent information and advice on deaf-related issues for parents, carers and families of deaf children and young people age 0 to 25.

We can refer you to our free support services if you need extra help.

Our Helpline also gives information and guidance to professionals working with deaf children and young people.

Are you aged 8-18 years? If yes - great! The Buzz is for you.

The Buzz is the only website for deaf children and young people in the UK. It's an opportunity for you to get the information and support you need. Read inspiring stories from other deaf young people, ask questions and get involved. With the right support you can do anything.

You can also contact our Helpline. We give free independent information and advice on deaf-related issues for all children and young people under the age of 25.

  • your name
  • your full postal address and postcode
  • your supporter reference number if you know it.

To check that the fundraisers you spoke to were legitimate, please check our fundraiser locations for this week.

If you can’t see your location listed, please contact our Supporter Care team. So we can check who you spoke to, please tell us if the fundraisers came to your door or if they were on the street as well as a postcode of your address or the nearest location.

Fundraising complaints

If you would like to make a complaint about your experience with us or an individual fundraiser, please see our complaints policy and contact our Supporter Care team. When making your complaint, please provide us with:

  • the location of the incident you would like to report
  • a description of the fundraiser(s) you spoke to
  • anything that can help us identify the fundraiser(s) so that we can address your feedback with them directly.
