InterpreterNow Video Relay Service now available for deaf parents, carers and professionals

Deaf parents, carers and professionals can now use the InterpreterNow Video Relay Service to contact specific National Deaf Children’s Society staff and our Helpline.

This new Video Relay Services provides deaf professionals with immediate access to online interpreting for deaf British Sign Language (BSL) users. The service can be accessed through any camera-enabled laptop, PC/Mac or Android or Apple tablet and smartphone via the InterpreterNow App.

InterpreterNow is a social enterprise, fully owned by the Deaf Health Charity SignHealth.

The Video Relay Service is generally free to use, with the only cost users may incur is phone data if they use 3G/4G to make calls, similar to the amount Facetime uses, as the InterpreterNow app requires an internet connection.
