Money and benefits

We know that many families of deaf children and deaf young people are worried about the current cost of living crisis. If you or someone you know is struggling financially, it’s important for you to get all the financial support you’re eligible for. We've put together information on how to get help with the cost of living and the organisations offering advice and support.

You and your deaf child may be entitled to help with money and benefits, including disability benefits such as Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) in England, Northern Ireland and Wales, and Child Disability Payment (CDP) and Adult Disability Payment (ADP) in Scotland.

You may also be eligible for additional financial support, including welfare benefits, grants, and allowances for carers and students.
