Paula Brown - Family Officer

I have 2 grown-up children one of who is profoundly deaf with additional needs. She is now married and living independently. I started my working life as a primary school teacher and have had a varied career including becoming a trained aromatherapist and newborn hearing screener. I have been involved with NDCS for 20yrs in one way or another and am now the Family Officer for South East Wales. I provide information, support and advice to families covering a wide range of issues to do with deafness. I thoroughly enjoy meeting families and working with professionals in my area to provide the best possible opportunities for every deaf

Jamie Rhys-Martin - Family Officer

“I am deaf and have worked with a variety of people both deaf and with a range of other disabilities, this work has included coaching the NSW CP Boccia Team in Australia. 

I enjoy the great outdoors, most sport including running where I completed the London Marathon for NDCS in 2008."

Jill Bartlett - Family Officer

"I am the newly appointed NDCS Family Officer based up in North Wales. I currently work 17.5 hrs sharing my time with another organisation, namely Contact a Family.

I previously worked for ASBAH (Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus) as a family officer and am familiar with the role of providing support and advice to families on numerous issues.
