Our policies and procedures
We have developed a number of policies relating to issues on childhood deafness which outline our position and aim to provide guidance for parents and professionals. We are committed to ensuring that we meet best practice and protect all children and young adults at risk.
Our safeguarding policies
We recognise that the welfare of all children and young people is of paramount importance. All children have the right to be protected from abuse. Safeguarding their welfare is the responsibility of everyone who works at Deaf Child Worldwide and our partner organisations, whether salaried or voluntary, whatever their role or status.
The policy, minimum standards and guidance documents below outline our position. They will be reviewed and added to as needed to ensure that we do everything we can to safeguard children.
