Preparing your deaf child for primary school

Photo: Talking about school with your child, and meeting the staff together, can help with settling in

Starting primary school will be a big change for your child, so making sure they feel ready will help them feel happy and confident. Be positive and talk or sign with them about what it will be like and all the things they will do there, so that they feel excited and less anxious about their new routine.
