What does hearing loss sound like?

Simulations of hearing loss can't give an exact idea of what the world sounds like to a deaf child, but they can give you an insight into the difficulties they face.

Cochlear implant simulation

The University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service offers simulations of different voices and music. They also have a link to the University of Granada, Spain, where you can download a program to make your own simulations of sound perception through a cochlear implant.
