Volunteer roles
We have different opportunities available depending on your interests, skills and experience
Our volunteers provide support at online and in-person events for families and young people, and work behind the scenes with our teams to help deliver services.
Take a look at our roles to apply for now, as well as other ways volunteers are supporting us, to see what our volunteers are getting up to!

Roles to apply for now
Other ways that volunteers support us
Haven't yet found something that's right for you? Below are some examples of roles that may become available in future. We're not currently taking applications for these but you can sign up to our newsletter to be notified as soon as this changes.
Youth support volunteers
We have a few different roles that Youth Support Volunteers carry out at events. They all directly support children and young people at events to be happy and healthy, realise their potential, assist with communication and provide additional support when needed.
Team supporters
Provide clerical and administrative support to a team at one of our offices. There are also opportunities to carry out data analysis, research and support staff in the Learning and Development team.
Presenter
Our presenters use their personal experiences of deafness to deliver presentations about different topics and services for a range of audiences.
Presenter (technology)
Technology Presenter volunteers have an understanding of technology that can support deaf children and young people, and their families, and are able to provide demonstrations. They may be a deaf adult, family member of a deaf child, Teacher of the Deaf, or work with technology for deaf people.
