Take action

Our campaigns can't happen without you. Together we can make decision-makers take notice, and create real change for deaf children and young people.

Below are the main ways you can take action at the moment. Check back often and make sure you’re signed up to the Campaigns Network for the latest ways to get involved.

Right to Sign - our BSL GCSE campaign

We got the Department for Education to back down on its decision to delay the introduction of a GCSE in British Sign Language (BSL) in schools across England. Without you, this wouldn’t have been possible, and it’s fantastic to finally be at the consultation stage of the BSL GCSE.

SEND Review in England

The special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) system in England is changing. It’s vital that any changes include actions for more Teachers of the Deaf and better deaf awareness in education.

Our deaf education map has lots of information about local services for deaf children. Use it to compare support in your area with that in your neighbour's and take action to change things for the better.
