This CPD accredited module is the perfect place to start learning about deaf awareness, and only takes about 15 minutes to complete.
This module covers:
- lip-reading
- the difference between British Sign Language (BSL) and Sign Supported English (SSE)
- basic fingerspelling
- basic greetings in BSL.
What you'll learn
By the end of this module you'll be able to:
- identify some of the challenges deaf people experience when communicating with hearing people
- name some things you can do to make lip-reading easier
- use some basic fingerspelling and basic BSL signs.
