Following the new Tier system being implemented in England from Wednesday 2nd December we are face to face fundraising in some Tier 1 and Tier 2 areas. Our recruiters comply with strict Government approved guidance issued by the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and the Fundraising Regulator. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to identify our fundraisers, know what they want from you and where we are working.

A National Deaf Children’s Society fundraiser can be identified by:

  • Their identification badge, which has their name and ID number on it.
  • The tablet computer or clipboard they are holding so they can take down your details.

Our fundraisers ask for a regular monthly commitment in the form of a direct debit. To do this, they will ask you for address details and your bank account details. We do not fundraise for one-off contributions in our face-to face fundraising, but if you would prefer to provide a one-off contribution, then you can make one.

Our fundraisers are all knowledgeable ambassadors of our charity, fully trained by our full-time trainer on the work we do and on fundraising best practice. You can find out where we are currently fundraising by clicking on the link below:

If you wish to check about a fundraiser you see working somewhere, you can call 0800 138 6585 and talk to one of our Supporter Care team. You do not have to give your name if you do not want to, but you do have to let us know the first part of your postcode and the date that you met the fundraiser in order for us to look into anything for you.
