Rose Queen Emilia raises thousands for deaf children

Published Date: 28 Jun 2019

Emilia Dunn, 12, was crowned as her local church’s Rose Queen at their annual festival last year. Since this time she and her local community have been busy fundraising in aid of the National Deaf Children’s Society.

They have been collecting, holding bake sales, raffles and even a sponsored swim! In her year as Rose Queen, she has raised £2,100 for the National Deaf Children’s Society!

Claire Lubbock, Community Fundraiser at the National Deaf Children’s Society, said “Emilia’s fundraising has been amazing! She has helped to bring her local community together in support of our charity and raised a brilliant amount. We’re so grateful for her support.”

If you’ve been inspired by Emilia’s fundraising efforts, see how you can fundraise for us in your community.
