Our FREE e-learning modules are designed as an option for distance learning, available anywhere and at any time. They provide a range of interactive learning methods while giving instant access to additional resources and services.

We have two types of modules available:

  • Mini modules: These are brief introductory modules that take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
  • Full modules: These are more in depth training modules that can take about 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete.

All of our e-learning modules are free of charge.

Introduction to Deaf Awareness - CPD accredited

This FREE e-learning mini module will provide you with better awareness of some of the challenges that deaf people experience when trying to communicate with hearing people. You will leave being able to name some of the things you can do to make lip-reading easier. You will also get to learn some basic fingerspelling and BSL greetings.

Introduction to Temporary Hearing Loss - CPD accredited

This FREE e-learning mini module will help you understand the temporary hearing loss that can affect children, often caused by glue ear. It will provide practical suggestions for adapting your practice to support children who are affected. The mini module is appropriate for all mainstream practitioners. It’s the perfect place to start learning about temporary hearing loss and only takes about 15 minutes to complete.

NEW! Deaf Awareness for Careers Advisors

These brand-new FREE e-learning modules will improve your deaf awareness within the context of offering careers advice. This e-learning will help ensure your advice sessions are fully accessible for deaf young people. Each module contains country-specific information and identifies key considerations when providing careers advice to deaf young people so you can be confident in the advice you’re providing. It will take about 1 hour to complete.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for any arts, sports or leisure providers / activity leaders, youth clubs or anyone who will be providing activities for deaf children or young people.

How long will this course take?

This course should take around 1 hour to complete, although you are welcome to work through it at your own pace. You will have 30 days to complete the course before it expires.

How can I pay for this e-learning module?

Payments can be made through PayPal or using a debit card. You do not need a PayPal profile to complete your purchase. PayPal is simply the system we use to process payments.
