E-learning

Photo: Train with us anywhere and at anytime with our e-learning modules

Our e-learning modules are designed as an option for distance learning, available anywhere and at any time. They provide a range of interactive learning methods while giving instant access to additional resources and services.

We have developed 4 modules for professionals covering a range of topics, all of which support your development. Each module costs £15 and takes around 1 hour to complete, although you are welcome to work at your own pace, at a time that suits you. On completion of each module you will receive a certificate.

Our e-learning modules

To access our modules you will need to register on our E-Learning portal.

Supporting Children with a Suspected Hearing Loss in Early Years
This module will enable you to confidently identify signs of a child with hearing loss. You'll know how and where to signpost families for further support and carry out a basic assessment of a listening environment.

Working with Deaf Children and Young People
This module will enable you to identify the different types of deafness and the impact they have on children and young people. You'll be able to describe the different types of communication used and suggest different types of technology to support deaf children and young people.

Deaf-friendly Activities
By the end of this module, you'll know what simple adaptations to make to ensure activities or services are deaf-friendly and inclusive. You'll be able to identify the different types of communications deaf children and young people use. You should ideally have already completed the ‘working with deaf children and young people’ module before starting this.

Social Care Needs of Deaf Children and Young People
This module is an introduction to the social care needs of a deaf child. By the end, you will be able to identify where additional social care support may be needed and describe what you to do if you have any concerns.
